You retain ownership of the content you add, such as profile details, photos and messages. You grant Impact a licence to host and display that content for the purpose of operating the platform.
These terms govern your use of Impact Personnel. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Trust and Safety guidelines.
Impact Personnel is a marketplace that connects builders and construction companies (hiring companies) with self employed carpenters for short term work. We facilitate introductions and bookings. We are not a party to the work agreement between a company and a carpenter, and carpenters are not our employees.
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Both carpenter and company profiles are reviewed before they go live. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure.
Carpenters set their own rate and are paid for their labour directly by the hiring company, outside the platform, on terms agreed between them. Impact Personnel charges the hiring company a booking fee of 10% of the labour value, payable by card through the platform once a carpenter accepts a booking. This booking fee is the only amount collected through Impact.
Carpenter payments. Impact does not collect, hold, or pay the carpenter's labour. Payment for labour is arranged and settled directly between the hiring company and the carpenter. We take no commission from a carpenter's rate.
Impact Personnel is not currently registered for GST. No GST is charged on the booking fee at this time.
A booking is a request until the carpenter accepts it. Either party may cancel a booking before it begins, subject to good faith and any agreement between them. Repeated cancellations or no shows may affect your standing on the platform.
You agree to use the platform lawfully and respectfully. You must not misrepresent yourself, circumvent fees, harass other members, post false reviews, or use the platform for anything other than its intended purpose.

The platform is provided on an as is basis. We vet members but do not guarantee the conduct, quality, or outcomes of any booking. To the extent permitted by law, Impact is not liable for losses arising from work arranged through the platform. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act or other applicable New Zealand law.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions can be sent through our contact page.
